A blaze started on a caravan park in Preesall after several outdoor storage units caught fire, say fire services.

The fire started at around 6.20pm on March 27 at the Rose Grove Caravan Park on Pilling Lane.

Two crews responded to a 999 call and arrived to find a plastic container well alight.

Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to a nearby caravan using a hose-reel jet.

A spokesman for Preesall fire station said in a post to their Facebook page: "Your local fire crew have just been mobilised to reports of a fridge fire outside a caravan, upon arrival we located a well alight plastic container which was starting to spread to a nearby caravan, quick actions from crews resulted in I being stopped."

There were no casualties and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
