The Glasgow band first formed in 1995, and the shows are taking place to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their first single – ‘Tuner/Lower’ – being released.
There’s a little bit of a wait for the gigs though; they don’t take place until February 2021.

Hide AdThe band will play London and Glasgow, but it’s of course their show at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse on 19 February that we’re most excited for.
The full list of Mogwai tour dates is as follows:
17 February – Roundhouse, London
19 February – O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
20 February – SSE Hydro Arena, Glasgow
What might they play?
The gigs are a full calendar year away at the time of writing, so just what might make it on to the setlist is hard to say at this point.
Presumably, Mogwai classics like ‘Auto Rock’ and ‘Hunted by a Freak’ will get an inclusion, as will songs from the band’s 10th studio album, which they're expected to begin work on this year.
But what else might get an airing?
According to setlist.fm, Mogwai’s "average” setlist from 2018 (the last year they gigged regularly), looked like this:
- Hunted by a Freak
- Crossing the Road Material
- Party in the Dark
- I'm Jim Morrison, I'm Dead
- Rano Pano
- Coolverine
- Don't Believe the Fife
- New Paths to Helicon, Pt. 1
- Mogwai Fear Satan
- Every Country's Sun
- Remurdered
- Old Poisons
Encore:
- We're No Here
How do I get tickets?
Tickets for all of the shows are on sale now, via Ticketmaster.
They went on sale at 9am on Friday 28 February.
