Norris: We need to snap out of confidence crisis
The Seasiders travel to Crewe today knowing anything but a win will leave them deep in relegation trouble at the bottom of League One.
A run of eight games without a win has seen heads drop within the Pool squad, leaving confidence at an all-time low.

“We have to win games now and get points on the board, it’s as simple as that,” he said.
“Performances will go out the window now – it’s all about those points for us.
“Everyone is a little low at the moment from the last few results and where we are in the league. But we have to snap out of it now.

“We have to roll our sleeves up, get on with it and give everything. We just need a win, it’s as simple as that.
“If we can get one win it will really lift everyone and we can kick on. A win could take us out of the bottom four and mentally it would give everyone such a boost.”
The 35-year-old has been a big part of Neil McDonald’s Blackpool side this season, starting 30 games since joining in September.

He said: “It’s been a good challenge, I’ve enjoyed it. As players you try not to dwell on what’s been going on outside, we just have played games.
“If we end up relegated it won’t be a period I look on fondly, so I have to try and make sure that doesn’t happen. It doesn’t matter how we play now, we will take anything. Any points, any goals, we just need to get them on the board.
“At this moment in time staying up would be a massive achievement.”

Norris is convinced they can do it, if they get wins on the board quickly. “I think it was in everyone’s head this week with games against Oldham and Crewe that we had to get points,” he said.
“We have three left to play for now and if we don’t win games against the teams around us we get what we deserved.
“This season we’ve had bad runs but we’ve always created chances.
“I don’t think we’ve been creating much in recent weeks and that’s a big challenge now.”
