Holmes exit leaves gap to plug in Fylde defence
The experienced defender is expected to join a rival National League North side.
Holmes, who made over 150 appearances during four years at Tranmere, joined the Coasters in the summer after leaving Newport County.

Coasters boss Dave Challinor is short on cover at right-back after Caspar Hughes picked up a knock last weekend and the manager has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his defensive options.
The Coasters travel to Darlington this weekend for a clash of the top-two knowing that victory would open up a seven-point gap between the clubs .
Having inflicted Fylde’s first league defeat of the season, Tamworth beat Darlington 2-1 last weekend while the Coasters were bouncing back with a 5-0 rout of Stalybridge.
