VIDEO: Murder inquiry launched in St Annes
At around 11pm on Monday night, the man was assaulted in Park Road, St Annes, outside the Zekos takeaway.
Police say he was on his way home with a group of friends and family.

Hide AdIt is believed he had become involved in an altercation with a man outside the takeaway, during which he was assaulted.
No weapons were used in the incident.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken by ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out on Tuesday to establish a cause of death. Formal identification is also expected to take place in the afternoon.
Det Supt Andy Murphy from the force major investigation team said: “This is a tragic incident and an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of exactly what happened. Specially trained family liaison officers are supporting the victim’s family.

Hide Ad“I’d reassure people that this is an isolated incident and that extra officers are out patrolling the area.
A 32-year-old man from St Annes has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
Both are currently in police custody being questioned by detectives.
Park Road was sealed off until 11am on Tuesday to allow crime scene investigators to examine the scene.
