Road closed due to strong winds
Police and fire services from South Shore station have closed off Coronation Street after high winds blew tiles from the roof of the Co-operative food shop onto the road.
A fire service spokesman said: “We were called at around 10.15am to the Co-op. We were told that the strong winds were blowing roof tiles into the street.

Hide Ad“Firefighters confirmed that a number of roof tiles have fallen onto the road, and a number are still loose and could fall at any moment.”
People are advised to avoid the area while police and firefighers remain at the scene.
