Hide AdYear Five teacher Lucy Avis has been taking her class ice skating at Fylde Coast Ice Arena in Bristol Avenue, Bispham, in recent weeks.
She said: “They have done so well. I’m really pleased with how they have overcome their fears.
“They all went on with ice skating aids in the first week but by the end even the children who didn’t want to go on initially were confident skaters.
“They have done better than I have!”
She added: “At the moment what we are really trying to do at the school is try lots of different activities that are fun but also keep them healthy.
“We hope to attract the children to sports in the hope they will carry on themselves.”
