Craig Scott Allen has applied to Blackpool Council for permission to serve alcohol at Ronnie’s Bar and Eatery on Whitegate Drive for an extra hour on weekdays – meaning it would close at midnight.
But an objection to the application claims the bar is creating a noise disturbance in the area and is calling for the extension to be refused.

A licensing hearing will be held on Tuesday June 13 at the town hall to determine the application.
The objector says while the outside sitting area should close at 10pm, “there are still people “sitting and standing outside drinking until midnight.”
They add “there are also people sat shouting in the seating area around 1am”, and claims doors are left open which “is causing noise disturbance for all residential neighbours.”

“There is no proposal to extend the hours relating to regulated entertainment, this variation is to extend the alcohol sales during the week only.”
The outdoor seating area would continue to close at 10pm each night.
The premises has held an alcohol licence since November 2020.
