Person dies after being struck by train at Leyland station
Emergency services were called to the station after a person was struck by a train at 4.35pm.
Police remain at the scene where an investigation is underway alongside Network Rail staff.

Hide AdA spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Emergency Services were called to Leyland station after reports that a person had been struck by a train.
"Officers with British Transport Police attended this incident which was reported at 4.35pm.
"It is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
"Ambulance service also attended but the person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"Officers are currently working to identify the person and inform their next of kin.
"A file will be prepared for HM coroner."

Hide AdBritish Transport Police could not say whether the casualty is male or female.
Services are currently disrupted, with journeys between Preston and Manchester Piccadilly, as well as Blackpool North and Liverpool Lime Street, among those affected.
Passengers onboard trains heading towards Leyland were turned around, whilst bus replacement services were arranged.
Northern Rail said: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident at Leyland, some lines are closed.

Hide Ad"Rail replacement transport has been recruited to run in place of at any cancelled trains."
It said disruption is expected until approximately 8pm.
