News reader Stacey Houldsworth transformed her lifestyle - and body- in just 12 weeks
She’s dropped body fat and got leaner, stronger and fitter.
And Radio Wave journalist Stacey Houldsworth says she will keep going with her new healthy lifestyle, kick-started by her 12-week transformation challenge at Poulton’s Fortitude Fitness.
Throughout the challenge, Stacey and her colleague, breakfast presenter Scott Gallagher, completed five training sessions a week – four with personal trainers, and were given pre-prepared healthy food for every meal by the team at Fortitude. Scott emerged victorious in the challenge – shedding more pounds and body fat than Stacey.

She said: “I miss it already, although it was a big commitment and took time and effort.
“I feel so much better. My clothes look nicer. I feel more confident. I’m fitter and stronger. It’s not just about how you look and feel, it’s about being healthy too. My job means I sit down a lot and only really walk from my desk to the studio.
“I’m sleeping much better – a massive advantage in my line of work.

“Predominantly, I was trained by Mikey, but I had sessions with other PTs too and they were all different, but brilliant.
“The whole team at Fortitude was so supportive.
“I gave names to all the equipment I didn’t like and the worst thing was definitely the battle-ropes.
“The best bits were learning about new exercises, different equipment and techniques and having my food all prepared.

“The meals were great and taught me about what I should be eating and portion sizes. I’ve now got ideas for healthy meals and snacks.
“And it was great doing the challenge with Scott.
“He did really well, and we encouraged each other. That little bit of friendly rivalry helped push us both.
“It was such a great experience.”
Personal trainer and Fortitude co-owner Mikey Moon said: “Stacey was a joy to work with. She did everything that was asked of her, and overcame a massive change in her lifestyle.
“I am incredibly proud of her transformation and her work rate throughout the 12 weeks.”
