The Crown Ballroom, based at Farmer Parr's in Fleetwood, will host the event in February 2021 at a venue yet to be confirmed, and will give the opportunity for six Fylde coast hopefuls to train with a professional dancer for six weeks.
The competition will be judged by a panel of four professional dancers from the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.

Hide AdThe ballroom celebrates its seventh birthday on June 1, and owner Alison Slinger, 33, from Anchorsholme, said the competition was her way of giving back to the NHS workers risking their lives during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Alison said: "We aim to raise £10,000 for the NHS, but I'm hoping we can smash that target and really give back to the people working their hardest to keep us safe.
"The lockdown has given me the chance to arrange this huge event and I'm so excited to see it all coming together. We are hoping to raise the money through sponsorships, and would really like Fylde coast businesses to get behind us.
"Absolutely anyone can apply to take part, we've got a panel of four Strictly professional dancers to judge the competition and we're hoping to secure a big venue in Blackpool to host it.
