More flood alerts issued for Lancashire
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of rain, valid until 6pm on Tuesday, and forecasters say rain will batter the North West for most of the day.
They have warned of the possibility of localised flooding of roads and properties.

Hide AdExperts say 60 to 80mm of rain is possible over hilly areas in the region.
The Environment Agency has also issued a flood alert, urging people to be prepared, which includes the River Wyre, River Cocker, Pilling Water and other watercourses from Catterall to Fleetwood, including St Michaels and Great Eccleston and Preesall.
A message on the Environment Agency website said: “Heavy rainfall is forecast overnight and into the morning of Tuesday December 22.
“This is likely to continue into the mid-afternoon.
“River levels are expected to rise significantly.
“We shall continue to monitor and respond to the situation.
“The area incident room will remain open overnight and into Tuesday.”
