Police gave chase to a moped rider and passenger in a dramatic incident in Blackpool in the early hours of this morning.

Neither of the riders had helmets and the duo were travelling at speed on the wrong side of the road at just after 3.50am.

The officers decided it was too dangerous to continue pursuing them.

However, police later arrested the rider.
