Kenny works his way up to top Tower role
Mr Mew, 37, was previously head of operations at the attraction but has worked his way up through various roles since first joining the team in 1995.
He said: “Working in a historic landmark that plays a huge part in the overall Blackpool story got me hooked and I have never looked back.

Mr Mew moved to Blackpool from Dumfries in Scotland when his parents opened a bed and breakfast in 1986 in the resort.
After intially working at the Tower, he went back to college and then rejoined taking on various roles including a stint as general manager of former Tower Lounge.
Highlights include meeting Gary Barlow and being involved in every series of Strictly Come Dancing filmed at the Tower but his favourite memory is meeting world snooker champion, Stephen Henry.

Hide AdHe takes over from previous manager Kate Shane who was appointed head of Merlin’s cluster of Blackpool attractions at the beginning of the year.
She said; “I am so proud of Kenny and all that he has achieved during his time here at The Blackpool Tower.
“His new appointment just proves that with hard work and dedication you can achieve anything!”
