Fleetwood crews tackle fire caused by oil burner

Three fire engines from Bispham and Fleetwood were called out to the home in Promenade Road after the family called 999 at 12.21am.
The family had managed to get out of the terraced house safely before fire crews swiftly arrived to tackle the flames.

Hide AdTwo firefighters entered the home with breathing apparatus to protect them from the smoke and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
A ventilation fan was then used to clear smoke which had filled the home.
No-one was injured and fire crews returned to their stations after an hour at the scene.
The fire service said: "At 12.21am, three fire engines from Bispham and Fleetwood attended a fire involving an oil burner in a domestic property on Promenade Road, Fleetwood.

Hide Ad"Fire fighters used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
"Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour."
