Hide AdProsecutor, Pam Smith, said two other drivers saw Bond’s silver Audi A5 smash through several concrete bollards and end up on the tram tracks on March 11, about 9pm.
A breath test showed 47 micrograms of alcohol in his body - 35 is the limit.
When interviewed Bond told police he had just left the Tramway pub and been driving home when a dog ran in front of him and he swerved.
Steven Townley, defending, said his client had drunk three pints of beer.
