Businesses urged to attend waste seminar
The seminar at County Hall from 9.30am and 2pm will be a chance for small and medium sized businesses in the construction and agriculture sectors to find out more about regulations for handling business waste.
Representatives from a number of organizations will explain waste disposal responsibilities from the waste regulator, the waste producer and the waste management sector points of view.

Hide AdSpeakers from organisations including the Environment Agency, Tradeskips, Atkins Global and the ‘right Waste, right Place’ campaign will be attending the event. The event is being hosted by the Lancashire Waste Partnership, an organisation made up of the county council, Lancashire’s 12 district councils, and the neighbouring unitary authorities of Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen.
Sam Corp, head of regulation at the Environmental Services Association, which runs the ‘right Waste, right Place’ campaign, said: “The events we have held across the country have been a huge success and facilitated some great discussion amongst attendees from the construction sector.
“We look forward to bringing this latest seminar to Preston and sharing knowledge with construction and agriculture businesses across Lancashire. The ‘right Waste, right Place’ campaign is here to help businesses to do the right thing with their waste and comply with legal obligations.”
