A pensioners' breakfast club, which had to be suspended due to repeated vandal attacks at a Blackpool community  centre, is set to start again on Monday.

The weekly gathering at Horsebridge Community Centre at Grange Park will run from 10am to noon.

Grange resident Terry Bennett said the pensioners had missed the opportunity to get out of their homes and meet people. He said: “The council has put polycarbonate over the windows which kept getting smashed.

“The other good thing is that the pharmacy is due to open at @ The Grange on Monday too. They are moving from Chepstow Road which means that eyesore building can be finally demolished.”
