Handful of protesters flout social distancing rules to claim 'Covid-19 is FAKE' at Blackpool Tower

Around 20 people attended the protest on the Tower Headland at noon.
Police officers stood by at a distance.
The protest was organised as part of a ‘tour’ of events proclaiming to be ‘against big pharma and global organised crime’. Other campaigns were planned in Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, Preston, Manchester and Oxford.

Hide AdAn organiser appealed online for ‘DJs, Entertainers, coach companies and anyone else who can add value’ to take part in the tour, however, none of these were present in Blackpool.
Protesters refused to speak to press at the scene, however in an online post one said: “We will win, we will take our country back.
“We will not stop till we do this lets unite and win the fight... It’s in moments of decision your destiny is shaped.”
Medical experts have issued repeated warnings over the virus which so far has killed more than 42,000 people in the UK, and 1.05 million worldwide.
