Care home is '˜good' after safari holiday
Staff at Ashbourne Lodge Rest Home dressed as air stewards to ‘fly’ its residents to Africa before taking them to Knowsley Safari Park recently, were described in a report as “sensitive, respectful”, and “spent time talking and reassuring people in their care”.
Residents at the home, in Seventh Avenue, South Shore, were also due to be treated to a trip to the resort’s Winter Gardens for a traditional English tea, while flamenco dancers were set to visit their home for a Spanish event.

The CQC rated the home as ‘good’ – the same rating it got following its last visit in December 2015.
