Great Places has since received detailed planning consent to build 16 homes for shared ownership, being sold by Plumlife Sales, and 12 being made available for affordable rent.
The site is being constructed in partnership with Blackpool-based contractor RP Tyson, which has committed to using local labour and supply chain.
This scheme means that the wider Heyhouses development now delivers a wide range of tenures and this is just one site in the region as Great Places continue to invest heavily in new homes along the Fylde coast.

Hide AdHelen Spencer, Great Places’ director of development, said: “As an organisation Great Places continues to play its part in tackling the housing crisis and we’re delighted to be building in an area, which really needs new affordable housing options.
“When the previous developer went into administration, we were very proactive in looking at how we were able to work to create an opportunity with the final phase to bring much-needed affordable homes to market.”
“With the local market out of the reach of some buyers and rents very high, this mixed-tenure site should prove very popular in what is a very desirable area.
“We’re building lots of new homes along the Fylde coast and we are proud to bring these new homes to the area.”
