Families from across the region flocked to special events this weekend.
Saturday saw the St Annes Carnival, to raise money for local charities.
Crowds gathered to watch the procession, and were entertained with music, dancing and the crowning of the Rose Queen.

The procession around the village of Newton–with-Scales included the children from Newton Bluecoats Primary School, retiring Rose Queen, Miss Katie Jones, the visiting Rose Queen of the Unite Reform Church, Kirkham, Miss Kate Tomes and the 2015 Rose Queen, Miss Sophie Edge.
The uniformed organisations walked in fancy dress.
